ANNOUNCING: DREXELDANCE 8 – virtual edition!

In this time of isolation and fear, we thought we’d bring back everyone’s favorite short film party right into your living room!

NEW TO DREXELDANCE? WHAT THE FUCK IS IT?

DrexelDance is a FOR FUN film festival put on by the good folks at DrexelBox Films. Each festival has its own theme and rules that filmmakers (and non-filmmakers – anyone can and should participate) use to put together a short film for everyone to enjoy.

On a normal year we all get together, throw a big party, and screen the films to everyone’s delight. However, due to the quarantine, we thought it would be fun to throw this party online!

FESTIVAL THEME AND RULES:

This year’s theme is appropriately lifted from Governor Gavin Newsom’s, SAFER AT HOME order. This does not mean your short film has to be about the Corona pandemic or being quarantined.

RULE 1. All films must be shot for DrexelDance. Previously shot films will not be accepted.

RULE 2. All films must be made in the confines of the filmmakers quarantined environment.

RULE 3. All films must be five minutes or less.

AWARDS:

As with every DrexelDance, there will be 4 categories for awards – and therefore, four award trophies. Voting will occur online, and winners announced the same night as the screenings. Categories are:

Best Fucking Actress
